Mayur Kotadiya.
“Hold the weave to spec. Hold the container to date. Hold the customer for a decade.”
Mayur Kotadiya is the Founder of Samarpan Polyfab LLP — a Morbi-based manufacturer and exporter of industrial polypropylene woven fabric, FIBC bulk-bag accessories, bale wraps, specialty packaging and roll-form industrial supply. A first-generation, self-made entrepreneur based in Morbi, Gujarat, he has built the company from a single plant on the Morbi-Rajkot highway into a high-throughput export operation that dispatches 500+ tonnes of PP fabric every 10–15 days to customers in 30+ countries.
The Founder — First-Generation, Self-Made
Mayur's entrepreneurial story is self-made. A first-generation businessman with no inherited enterprise behind him, he chose polymers, chose Morbi, and chose the export path. Samarpan Polyfab, founded in 2019, was built on a single conviction: that an Indian manufacturer can be a globally trusted source of industrial-grade PP woven fabric when the operating discipline — quality, consistency, zero-defect throughput — is non-negotiable.
The category was unforgiving. Industrial PP woven fabric is sold on documentation as much as on weave — GSM, mesh count, coating consistency, UV stability, container dispatch reliability. Samarpan chose to lead with consistency. Looms were set up to international tolerances, the quality bench was scaled ahead of customer demand, and the customer base courted was one that would specify hard and stay long.
The Operator
Day-to-day, Mayur runs Samarpan Polyfab as a hands-on CEO. The remit covers production, quality control, customer specifications, export operations, environmental compliance and the workforce of weavers, technicians and shift supervisors that keep the plant running on a 10–15 day dispatch metronome. He works close to the floor — close to the looms, close to the quality bench, close to the customers whose container schedules drive everything.
The operating discipline shows up in how the business is structured: quality before quantity, zero-defect by design, real customer trust as the moat. Export-grade PP fabric is an unforgiving category; the only durable differentiator is execution. That has been the starting philosophy and remains the operating one.
The Investor
Beyond the operating role, Mayur is an active capital allocator across the plant's expansion and adjacent ventures inside the Morbi polymer and packaging cluster. The bias is unambiguous: capital placed in manufacturing capability compounds more reliably than capital placed anywhere else for a first-generation Indian industrialist. Working capital flows through the plant; capacity expansions are funded from internal accruals; debt is used sparingly and only against assets that generate cash.
Selectively, Mayur backs other operators in the cluster — younger founders setting up polymer or packaging units, downstream FIBC stitchers, coating and lamination specialists, yarn suppliers — where his operating knowledge adds real value and the relationship strengthens the wider Saurashtra ecosystem. The investments are minority. The founders run their own plants. The capital is patient.
The Mentor · For First-Generation Founders
Mayur engages actively with younger founders in polymers, packaging, exports and family-run manufacturing — across the Morbi, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Bhavnagar and wider Saurashtra industrial cluster. As a first-generation founder who built Samarpan from the ground up, he is candid about what the work actually takes.
The conversations are direct. Founders reach out for a view on setting up a PP woven fabric plant from scratch, how to select looms and configure a coating layout, how to staff a quality bench for the first export consignment, how to win the first European or African customer without burning capital, how to navigate Pollution Control Board norms for a polymer plant in Gujarat, or how to structure a family-run manufacturing company for the next generation. He engages personally — the door stays open.
The Product Portfolio
Samarpan Polyfab's product portfolio spans:
- PP Circular Woven Fabric — Light and heavy weight, 50–300 GSM, 25–200 cm widths, 7×7 to 14×14 mesh (custom on request). Coated, laminated or uncoated; with or without UV stabilisation; gusseting available.
- FIBC & Bulk-Bag Accessories — Duffel tops, bottoms, skirts and flaps for the global FIBC stitching industry.
- Specialty Bags & Wraps — PP small bags, bale wraps, box bags, courier bags, perforated bags.
- Industrial Roll-Form Supply — Long-run rolls up to 5,000 metres in custom GSM and mesh configurations for downstream converters.
The customer base spans cement, construction, agriculture, packaging, sugar, fertiliser, mining, lumber, transportation, retail, food-grain storage, logistics, petrochemicals, animal feed, food products and engineering industries — across India and 30+ international markets.
Vision
A reliable polymer manufacturer in the global arena, built quietly from Morbi.
The goal is plain — be one of the most admired Indian polypropylene fabric manufacturers globally, while protecting the basics that the industrial packaging industry was built on: weave quality, dimensional consistency, on-time dispatch, and customer specifications that hold up over decades.
Every roll is a small step in that direction. Every customer is one more global packaging converter or domestic industrial bagger that trusts Indian manufacturing because it has watched ours hold up across container after container. Compound that across years, and an Indian PP fabric company can quietly become the reliable supplier the world's packaging industry needs more of.
Operating Principles
The way Mayur runs Samarpan Polyfab is anchored in six principles — the standards he won't compromise on, even as the business scales:
- Quality before quantity — Yarn, weave, coating, finish — non-negotiables. A roll of PP fabric outlives its purchase order on the customer's shop floor; the standard has to match the bag that eventually leaves their plant.
- Zero-defect by design — International quality tolerances are built into how the plant runs daily — not retro-fitted before a customer audit. Inspection happens at the loom, at the coater, at the roll, and at the dispatch bay.
- Stay on the shop floor — Decisions made close to the looms, the quality bench and the customer's specification sheet. Not from a glass tower.
- The long horizon — Build a business that compounds for decades, not a single export tender. Time horizons measured in customer reorder cycles, not quarters.
- Cash before credit — Capacity expansions funded from internal accruals. Receivables managed tighter than payables. The plant grows from what it earns — and never on what it borrows beyond its means.
- Open door for builders — Time given freely to younger founders building in polymers, packaging, exports and disciplined family enterprises. The Morbi ecosystem rises together — and Indian polymers are stronger when first-generation operators back the next ones.
